
It took two athletes 15 days to find a helicopter to practice for the world record.
A Dutch fitness enthusiast broke the Guinness World Record for completing the most pull-ups in one minute while hanging from a helicopter, according to a release. GWR, Stan Brownie, who runs a YouTube channel with fellow athlete Arjen Albers, breaks the record on July 6, 2022 at Hovenen Airfield in Antwerp, Belgium. Both athletes had prepared for weeks before attempting to break the crazy record.
Mr. Brownie is an expert in calisthenics, a class of gymnastic exercises intended to improve one’s physical fitness and finesse of motion. On the big day, he performed exceptionally well and set a world record with 25 pull-ups, GWR Told.
Guinness World Records shared a video of this record-breaking feat on their YouTube handle and wrote, “Brownie’s boys compete to see who can do the most pull ups from a helicopter in one minute. Who will go with the record?”
The duo also documented their preparation and effort to lead their audience through the “weirdest world record ever”.
On the big day, the number of defeats was 23 pull-ups, a feat previously achieved by Roman Sahradian of Armenia.
Mr. Albers finished first, achieved 24 pull-ups and surpassed the previous record by one pull-up, said GWR, Mr. Brownie, who finished second, emerged as the winner of the competition with a stunning result of 25 pull-ups.
