In a statement, the show’s executive producer and showrunner, Eric Wallacenoted, “Nine seasons! Nine years of saving Central City, taking viewers on an emotional journey filled with heart, humor, and spectacle.”

“Many amazing people have given their talent, time and love to bring this amazing show to life every week,” his statement read. “So, as we prepare to honor the incredible legacy of the show with our exciting final chapter, I want to say thank you to our phenomenal cast, writers, producers and crew over the years that helped create it. flamboyant Such an unforgettable experience for audiences around the world.”

Gustin quickly became a fan following by playing the title role and his alter-ego, Barry Allen, so much so that some fans complained that they wanted him, no more. Ezra Miller, to land a role on the big screen — even before Miller’s recent legal troubles. Both actors crossed paths in character in 2021 as part of The CW’s superhero-stock Crisis on Eternal Earth crossover event.
