The trial of ‘Vagatha Christie’ is set to be turned into a big-budget Hollywood film.
A group of directors are said to have scrambled for a deal after Colleen emerged victorious at the High Court of London on Friday (29.07.22) after a three-year battle between WAG’s 40-year-old Rebekah Vardy and 36-year-old Colleen Rooney was doing.
Fellow WAG Lizzie Kandi was quoted as saying in the Sunday Mirror: “I was on the phone with Bruno Tonioli (former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge) he was with a Hollywood director who wants to make a movie.
“It’s not just that, a lot of people in Hollywood have their eyes on it. America can’t believe the headlines around the world.
“America can’t believe how this matter has made headlines around the world. I have also heard that there is a drama series in the pipeline. It has immense potential for a great blockbuster.
“Maybe I can have a cameo – I’m the queen of TV WAG so why not?”
Lizzie, 54, the ex-wife of 52-year-old footballer Jason Kandi, said she had been in touch with Colleen, who expressed her relief at the result.
She said: “Colleen was very appreciative of the support. She said it was the end of almost three years of hard work and it was the best result she and Wayne could have hoped for.
“She’s incredibly grateful for how it all ended.”
On Friday, a judge dismissed Colleen’s allegation that Rebekah had leaked personal information about her that was “substantially true”.
Colleen is expected to travel to Washington with husband Wayne, 36, who is now manager of Major League Soccer side DC United.
Lizzie said of Colleen’s feelings for Rebekah: “She doesn’t want her to have any grudges, but I don’t think they’ll ever be friends.”
