love island Viewers have expressed their dismay during the episode “Meet the Parents”, as the islanders and guests are banned from physical contact.
On Sunday night’s (July 31) episode, the contestants’ parents and family members entered the villa for a brief reunion.
In years past, this moment in the show’s process has marked a major moment for the islanders, as it is the first time in weeks that they have been able to contact each other.
Often, it is an emotional event, wherein families and contestants alike get emotional and cry.
Since the Covid pandemic, the islanders have not been able to hug their visitors due to the risk of infection.
Although restrictions have ended in the UK and other countries, limits remain for this year’s “meet the parents” event, meaning islanders and families cannot touch each other.
Fans of the show have expressed confusion and disappointment over the changes.
