Sliders a. rallied down by two runs to defeatAlbanyMinnesota by a score of 3-2 in the championship game.

The sliders used a combination of timely hitting and solid pitching to win the field title.

But the team knows that it will take longer than that if they are expected to win the World Series title.

“Throw the strike, have fun and defend,” said slider third baseman Ian Beer. “Our hitting is usually always good. So defense is what we need to focus on.”

“As Ian said, we just need to focus on our defence,” said Sliders first baseman Nolan Williamson. “Our hitting is just solid. We need to stay in it throughout the game.”

Slider has prior experience playing Babe RUtho world Series.

Last year, nine of the 11 players were on the Rapid City Braves team, the Bebe R. had qualified forUtho I. in the 14U World Seriesova,

He hopes having that experience will help him compete at the national level again.

“The World Series experience is already great,” said Sliders coach Brian Olmsted. “We know what to expect to be back in this again. The boys are a lot more focused this year than last, a lot more prepared this year. They’re starting to trust each other. They’re on the guy next to them. Trust and he plays for the guy next to him. So it’s really nice to see him in jail like this at the end of the season.”

“There are a lot of good teams coming in because it’s like the top eight in the country,” said Sliders second baseman Will Waddell. “So we have to work hard to do well in it.”
