Josh Allen has been accurate in the first half for the Buffalo Bills, which was required at halftime of the NFL kickoff game despite only three 10–10 turnovers at Buffalo and Los Angeles. Allen threw an interception to Terrell Lewis that could have easily been ruled out to complete and the other was traded by James Cook on his first career touch.
Allen scored 17 of 20 for 153 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in the first half. His touchdown was a 26-yard pass to Gabe Davis, who held the Bills 7-0 on his first drive of the season. Davis has made five touchdowns in his last two matches (counting the playoffs).
Two obstructions have plagued Allen. The second pick was for Troy Hill in midfield in the last two minutes of the first half. Hill jumped in front of Jameson Crowder for the interception, which changed the pace in Rames’ favor.
The Rams touchdown came on a four-yard pass from Matthew Stafford to Cooper Kupp to cut the lead to 10-7. Kupp has six catches for 48 yards and a touchdown in the first half, while Stafford has 13 of 17 catches for 95 yards with touchdowns and interceptions.
