Opel/Vauxhall names Stelantis Africa-Middle East executive as head of sales

Opel/Vauxhall has named Christophe Mandon as head of sales, succeeding Florian Huetl, who was promoted to CEO of the Stellantis unit in May.

Mandan is currently responsible for the commercial management of all Stelantis brands in the Africa/Middle East region.

Opel said in a news release, he will report to Huettl, who has been in the CEO role since January.

Huettl replaced Uwe Hochgeschurtz, who now heads the expanded Europe region at Stellantis, following a management reshuffle.

Holding a degree in International Relations, Mandan has extensive international management experience with positions in Spain/Portugal, Morocco and Switzerland.

He joined Stellantis in 2000 in a sales management position at Citroen and held various sales and marketing positions at the brand until 2015, becoming head of operations for the brand in the Netherlands.

He held wide-ranging roles at PSA Group (now part of Stelantis) in 2015, including CEO of operations on the Iberian Peninsula, and was named to his current position in March 2021 after holding a similar position at PSA .
