The trade deadline has passed, and a flurry of moves are taking place. One of the major business centers on Whit Merrifield.
The Kansas City Royals are trading Merrifield to the Toronto Blue Jays.
This means Merrifield will have to get vaccinated unless he wants to play only road games similar to Kyrie Irving’s situation.
“Whit Merrifield has been traded to the Toronto Blue Jays, sources tell ESPN. One has to believe he will be vaccinated,” ESPN’s Jeff Passon said.
One fan wrote, “Royal broke the hearts of his fans. He is an amazing player.”
“And a terrible person. Glad he’s off the team,” wrote another fan.
One fan commented, “His statement came true. He would get vaccinated for a playoff team, but was too lazy to do so with the Royals. He never cared for Kansas City. It’s Whit Merrifield’s legacy, One fan commented.
Some controversial opinions, to say the least.
Whit Merrifield is headed to Toronto, where he will need to be vaccinated to play.
