“Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife Lauren Pace are set to become parents for the second time.
The couple – who were high school sweethearts – married in 2018 before welcoming their first child, a son named Romeo Reigns, in March 2021.
And they have just announced that they are expecting a sibling for their little boy early next year.
Mike captioned an Instagram snap of a family of three, soon-to-be, four by the pool: “We have an amazing announcement!! We are a growing family! Baby is on the way. January 2023.”
Just a year after the birth of his first child, Mike admitted that he was ready to try for a second child.
He told Us Weekly at the time: “I think we’re ready for baby number two. We keep talking about it and we’re going to start trying.”
Lauren revealed that they didn’t want to stop at two because the couple always wanted a big family.
She said: “I feel like we’ve always said three. We love number three, and it’s exactly that, good vibes.
“But we will see what God has blessed us with.”
When asked how she is dealing with life as a new mom, Lauren admitted that it was challenging but she is loved every minute.
She said: “There’s chaos… it’s just so much fun being a kid. I love it…
“Being a first time mom and everything new, you have no feeling to hold back. It’s one of those things that you have to figure out for yourself.”
Mike and Lauren met in college after taking maths classes together, and they dated from 2004 to 2007.
After separating, Mike rose to fame on the reality TV show ‘Jersey Shore’ and the pair did not reunite until the series ended in 2012.
They met again at a kickboxing class and revived their old relationship. They dated for five years before getting married in 2018.
