Gina Rodriguez is pregnant.
The “Jane the Virgin” star revealed on her 38th birthday on social media Saturday (30.07.22) that she is expecting her first child with husband Joe LoCicero.
Gina posted a video montage of romantic moments between the couple and the lovely clip included a selfie of herself holding a positive pregnancy test.
Gina’s ‘Someone Great’ co-star Brittany Snow wrote: “Yaah my love!! So much love for you three.”
Viola Davis wrote: “Congratulations.”
Danielle Brooks said: “Welcome to Club Mama!!!”
Gina previously admitted that she was desperate to be a mother but joked that she didn’t want to get pregnant.
When asked if she wants a child in a 2016 interview, the actress said: “I do.
“But I don’t want the whole process, I just want one to come, like a stork conversation.
“I could adopt, right? Yes, I can just do that. I definitely want to adopt.”
Discussing working with children on ‘Jane the Virgin’, Gina said: “I feel like they bring the baby to me and my ovaries are like ‘Ah! Come here, baby!'”
Gina and Joe married in 2019 and explained the joy of being in love after their engagement a year ago.
She said: “I really don’t even want to say this is happening. I just want to live! I think there’s a huge blessing in the fact that people care. It’s a beautiful thing, so it’s really I love it. But another part of it is I want to keep something that belongs only to me, because I don’t have so many things that I have.”
