George Clooney was horrified when a director criticized his kissing skills because he was using his “real-life tricks” for the scene.

The Hollywood heartthrob said there was a painful moment early in his career when he was trying to film an intimate scene with a co-star — and he was told about his move by the director.

Speaking to The New York Times, George explained: “I remember early in my career, I had to do a kissing scene with this girl and the director says, ‘It’s not like that.’ And I was like, ‘Man, that’s my trick! That’s what I do in real life!'”

George compared a scene in his new movie “Ticket to Paradise” to that of Julia Roberts, in which they play a former couple — and they perform a cringe-worthy dance in front of their kids.

The actor insisted that the scene should not be choreographed as it would work better if the stars could use their embarrassing dance moves.

He continued: “Everyone had a plan for how we should dance, and then we were like, ‘Well, we actually have some really bad dance moves in real life.’ Julia and I have done all those moves before, that’s the worst part.”

Julia said: “People always want to choreograph it, but you can’t step into it. You just have to open the box and let the magic fly.”

George also admitted that the pair’s young co-stars Caitlin Dever and Maxim Boutier were “really intimidated” by the pair’s dance moves, with Julia stating: “It was hysterical, they were speechless.”
