Salman and his father Salim Khan received death threats on June 5, days after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29 in Punjab’s Mansa district.
The letter was received by Salim Khan’s security team outside his Mumbai home near Bandra Bandstand resort, where Salim Khan goes for his regular morning walk.
Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29 by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village of Mansa district of Punjab. The incident took place a day after Punjab Police withdrew the security of 424 others.
Police sources said on condition of anonymity that the letter received in Hindi by the actor said that both Salim Khan and his son will soon have the same fate as late singer Sidhu Moosewala (‘Tera Moosawala banenge’).

According to information received from the Maharashtra Home Department, the reason behind the Bishnoi gang threatening actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan was to create an atmosphere to show their strength.
This is not the first time that Salman has received threats. In 2018, when the blackbuck poaching case was going on trial, Bishnoi had allegedly threatened the actor as blackbuck is considered sacred in his community. (ANI)
