Ducati generates 5.4% revenue in first six months of 2022

Ducati posted significant positive earnings in the first six months of this year despite the current supply and logistics crisis. Ducati’s revenue increased by 5.4 percent as the figure rose from 514 to 542 million euros. Ducati said that this is the highest ever recorded by the motorcycle maker in the first six months of the year. Ducati’s operating profit also saw an improvement as the company earned EUR 68 million, an increase of 14.8 percent from last year’s EUR 59 million.

The bike maker said that this result was achieved due to great flexibility as well as continuous dialogue with partners and trade union, despite the difficulties related to the supply crunch. Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali said 2021 was a record year for the company while 2022 is proving to be a more challenging year despite strong demand. Domenicali said, “However, we have managed to achieve satisfactory results given the context in which we operate, especially in terms of revenue, which is the best ever recorded in the first six months of the year.” Is.” The CEO also apologized to the customers who have to wait a little longer to receive their ordered model.

The Ducati Multistrada V4 was the best selling bike in the period as the brand delivered 6,139 units. The model was launched in 2020. After the Multistrada V4, approximately 4,776 units of the Ducati Monster were delivered and the Scrambler Ducati 800 family recorded deliveries of 3,999 units.

Ducati CFO, Henning Jens, said, “With revenues of EUR 542 million, we achieved a new record, driven by the very high demand from our customers. Based on fixed cost discipline and improved margins, we have achieved an operating profit of 59 percent. 68 million euros, which is 14.8% compared to the same period in 2021. Based on a very solid liquidity position, we will continue our investments in qualitative growth. Ducati with new attractive premium products ”
