Celebrity brands and ads gone wrong

Whether it’s their own failing brand or business, a questionable spot presence, or their own abusive behavior that has caused them to lose support, many celebrities have seen their lucrative business deals, and others put their star power behind questionable companies. Have seen the reaction to throw.

Makeup mogul Kylie Jenner has recently come under criticism for the hygiene practices at Kylie Cosmetics. On August 4, Emmy-winning makeup artist Kevin James Bennett called her out after posting photos of herself making some of her products at the Kylie Cosmetics lab. Bennett slammed their photo-op, saying, “I’m a cosmetic developer and work with cosmetic manufacturers (and their labs) as part of my work. I have very short hair, and I’ve never had a lab. Or not allowed to go to the hospital. Flooring without hair net, shoe covers, mask… and disposable gloves.” He accused Jenner of trying to give his fans the false impression that he was involved in the development of his products, saying “I would like to know if the ignorant manufacturer (in Italy) took him to his lab and to this photo-op. The manufacturing floor – without following proper hygiene protocols.”

Jenner responded to her comments by saying that she was in a private lab location to make her own samples for fun, and was nowhere near the actual manufacturing area where products were being made for customers. She came under fire, accusing Bennett of distorting the facts: “No one is putting customers at risk! Shame on Kevin for spreading false information!!!!”
