BLACKPINK has celebrated its 6th anniversary.
The K-pop girl group – consisting of Jisoo, Jenny, Rosé and Lisa – released their debut solo album “Square One” on August 8, 2016, and each member took to social media to mark the milestone.
Jisoo, 27, wrote: “Happy 6th anniversary! MY DEAR BLACKPINK FOREVER.”
Rosé, 25, penned heartfelt tributes to her bandmates and their fans.
She wrote: “My dear BLACKPINK members!! Happy 6th anniversary. Ever since we rehearsed together and the six years we have promoted together since our debut, I have shared a lot of memories and learned a lot from you.
“Thank you so much for being my member and my family.”
She continued: “And to our Blinks, who have always supported us by our side, I have nothing but endless gratitude for you.
“I am so grateful for each memory.”
Jenny, 26, teased that “more good news” is to come.
She wrote: “Today is our birthday wishing Blackpink and Blinks 6th anniversary coming up everyone! (sic)”
And Lisa, 25, said: “Can’t live without these girls. Happy 6th anniversary of Blackpink. This year will be another big year for us. Love you (sic)”
‘Square One’ had two tracks ‘Bumbayah’ and ‘Whistle’.
The anniversary comes when the “Sour Candy” hitmakers announced that their new single, “Pink Venom,” will arrive on August 19.
The track is taken from their eagerly awaited second studio album ‘Born Pink’, which comes out in September.
The quartet is set to embark on a world tour in support of the record, the dates for which will be revealed.
