Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy sold 2,389 units in July 22; Registering 24% year-on-year growth. The last 10 days of the month saw wholesale sales as the company’s production line was shut for a few weeks to facilitate the transition to its new product – Ather 450X Gen 3, which the company introduced last month.
Powered by a 3.7 kWh battery pack, the Ather 450X Gen 3 brings better performance and ride consistency, as well as a greater single charge range than the previous generation model. With a true range of 105 km, the company claims that this scooter is the best e-scooter in the country. “We are confident that the new scooter will help us capture a larger market share in the coming months,” the company said in a statement.
