Arch College of Design Business concludes Design Culture Learning Series 2

Online series saw participation from design professionals, academics and scholars from across the globe

Arch College of Design and Business hosts a series of online presentations from some of the nation’s foremost designers and professionals. Over a period of four weeks, twelve sessions exposed various aspects of design, its process and thinking.

“We are extremely happy on the successful completion of the second edition of the Design Culture Learning Series. This is our way of showing the bigger picture of the design sector through fruitful discussions with designers, academicians, scholars and experts,” said Archana Surana, Arch College of said the founder and director of Design & Business.

The learning series over four weeks is classified into four sub-topics, one for each week.

Week 1 – Creativity 5.0

During the first week, experts like Shail Choil, Sarita Sundar, Sudhir Kasliwal participated and discussed topics like Visual Arts and Creativity, Ten Principles: Overview of 3 Decades of Creative Research and Professional Practice, The Creative Development of Jewelery in Jaipur Series Gives a deep insight into the world of creativity.

Week 2 – Society 5.0

Society 5.0 is defined as a human-centred society to solve socioeconomic issues by integrating cyberspace and physical space, encompassing the vast opportunities and challenges for the 21st century. During the second week, the series discusses topics such as Design Thinking for Start-ups, From a Leaf to a Jungle: An Essential Journey in Designing Value Driven Technology, a craft-driven design exercise to bring about a social impact. The new normal we are facing today. Week 2 saw the participation of experts like Aditi Babel, Vaidyanathan A, Arun Cherian.

week 3 – harmonious vibrancy

Ajoy Mehta, Poonam Bir, Rajagopalan Palamadai brought to the fore important topics like Curating Spaces for Meditation and Love, Design for Behavior Change, Design Matters.

Week 4 – Design Leadership

In the final week of the series, the topic of Design Leadership for the Future is discussed by Narendra Sharma, Shivani Singhal, Anthony Lopez. Highlighted topics are Thought Leadership for Design, Hidden Design – How Design Secretly Shapes Our Choices, Why Design by Experienced Experts in the Design Leadership field.
