Anne Heche now in coma after car accident

American actress and director Anne Heche, who was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles a few days ago, has slipped into a coma. According to Variety’s report, the actress is in critical condition and has a lung injury that requires mechanical ventilation.

“At this time, Anne is in extremely critical condition,” the actor’s representative said in a statement obtained by Variety. He has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention. He is in a coma and has not regained consciousness immediately after the accident.”

Earlier, his representative provided an update on his stable condition on Saturday.

Heche was taken to hospital on Friday after a car crashed into a home on the 1700 block of Walgrove Avenue in West Los Angeles, reports NBC4LA and CNN.

According to several reports, Heche suffered burn injuries while the Mini Cooper was driving, causing it to burst into flames. The actor was also reported to have been involved in an accident minutes before the Walgrove Avenue accident at a nearby apartment complex.
