Alison Brie and Dave Franco “strive to connect every day”.
The 39-year-old actress and 37-year-old Dave have been married for five years and Alison believes good communication is the key to their romance.
When asked about the secrets to a happy married life, he said: “Communication. It’s about good communication.”
Alison and Dave are determined to work as a partnership, and they always try to keep in touch, even when they can’t be together.
The actress told Entertainment Tonight: “I think that’s why we honestly try to work together, so that we can spend more time together. So we don’t have to be so apart.
“But even when we’re apart, we really try to connect every day, and that’s important.”
Alison is starring in the new romantic drama “Somebody I Use to Know”, directed by her husband.
And the Hollywood star has loved the experience of working with Dave.
She said: “The best part for me is getting to experience all these other people on set how incredible she is. I already know, [but] It’s really fun to watch him take it in with all new eyes. And as a director he is exceptional.”
Alison previously admitted that she is feeling closer to Dave than ever after the COVID-19 lockdown.
The film star feels that the experience has been beneficial to their relationship.
Speaking about her lockdown experience, she shared: “It all really eased and flowed, I guess, because none of us knew how long it was going to last.
“Dave and I went through the first few months in party mode, thinking we’re on vacation — let’s drink wine, let’s make a lot of pasta. And then we’re like, This is long lasting, So let’s get into culinary experimental mode where we’re trying to create new dishes and things like that.
“And then we got into health mode, and then we were also into creative mode, and we were writing a lot together… So, I mean, I think we feel closer than ever. “
